Hi, in final version don't use terminals... and in not final too.🙂
Hi, All. Started the assembly..PCB population in progress...
hi Saraswat, those PCBs look neat. even i am planning to build a Hiraga 30W Class A. recently I have ordered the PCBs from Jim's audio [off ebay]. planning to do a dual mono construction.
as Sergiu suggested, i am planning to use 400VA trafos for each channel. ultimately everything will depend on the parts list and schematic that Jim's Audio is going to mail me.
All the best! 🙂

Hi,
Did anyone already measure how much ampers can provide this amp at highest demanding peaks ? Limited by the output transistors ?
Is it stable around minimal 1.9 ohms impedance with average 4 ohms speakers like the hungry Kef 104/2 (some even says a Bryston 4L is not enough with due to its very complicated filter full of coils, caps & resistors !)

Hi. 🙂

Yes readed it all and also linked it all already before 😉
My 1.9 ohms is at 125 Hz with < 85 dB sensivity between a bass cabinet and a medium cabinet (filter 😉 ) on the middle of a russian mountain impedance curve (nightmare situation for many speakers, I really read a Krell 50A or a Bryston 4L was not enough for this speaker; a reviewer says all its potential needed a Bryston 6 ! factory of ampers !).
Less easier than an ESL in the trebles !

I think that Kef 104/2 are not problem for Hiraga's 30W (but the filter of 1,456F is really scaring).😀😀😀😱😱😱🙂
Mr Saraswat, From where did you purchase the components in India. I am also interested to make this amplifier.

Huge !
Are you CLC or CRC for the caps bank ? Good inputs about that in previous threads & posts on DIYAUDIO on the corrected version by Hiraga himself in la Revue de l'Audiophile)... Ah yes you linked the paper 🙂 !

CLC or CRC - 2*68000 uF->L/R->4*330000 uF look cool and.. scary.😱😱😀

Anyway, when I'll make Hiraga's 20W - my soldering-irons will throw in the trash.🙂😀😀
😀😀😀😀
Really nice. I agree that you should solder those wires for the outputs and Ual. If you leave them like this there isnt so much contact there and they may get some heavy oxides in time wich you will not want in the future.
Cheers
Sergiu
In process...😱😱😱😀
I have seen the pcbs from the other thread. Imacullate work and neat.
Keep up the good work and posting.
Cheers

I think that you should take into consideration a 1kw trafo also in this case...

Hi, Sergiu, thanks have used those connectors temporarily ...will remove them after final testing...regards
Thanx. 🙂I have seen the pcbs from the other thread. Imacullate work and neat.

I hope that ended it to New Year.🙂
Dear Saraswat,
Excellent work. Looks like professional fabrication. You have used Dale resistors on the board, who is the seller of Dale resistors in India. I am at Lucknow and unable to get any quality component here. Please share the test results with us.
