hehe..yeah has been a bit of a finacial strugle for me too ancorp im on a disabilty support pension (due to a motorcycle accident in '91) I managed to work last year until the physical side of things got too much but recieved a nice little tax return as a result and have put it into the purchase of the components for this projector 🙂

I picked up a couple of nice looking aluminium fan filters/guards from PC Case Gear, same place i got the rear fan iI have one at the front of the box for the fan cooling the electronic compartment and another at the rear of this compartment ... this is what they look like

Well...thats it for now folks, I have yet to mount the LCD i have stripped it however all went well with that was painlessly over in 10 minutes without casualties lol... I will cut the slots etc for this today As im still waiting for all my optics from Ace da man...I have time to do things slowly and get them to my liking. Hopefully i will have the lenses etc in a couple weeks.
Now i have it altogether and aside for a few little things previously mentioned to do, I will be ripping it all apart and geting into some serious sanding and painting hehe goodie goodie
I plan on black as mentioned for the interior...I have picked up metalic silver for the outside of the box (same colour as my Antec computer case) As i plan to use my projector with my computer (H20 BiatchThing) i thought i would match it up colour wise with the computer.
Heres a pic of ma puta that the projector will be "mated" with hehe
I plan on fitting a terrestrial digital capture card to ma pc ... it runs a watercooled ATI9600XT 256mb graphics card that the projector will plug directly into.

yeah ancorp it can lol...have to take the good with the bad bud and get on best you can, complain little and make best of what ya left with...you only get one shot at life best not to waste the opportunity.

havent decided as to which yet...due to cash flow problems (more like lack of flow at all lol) i will be at the mercy of ebay and my bidding luck but will take into consideration your suggestions forsure ancorp cheers for the input buddy.

That is one expensive tv card. I can get an MSI TV@nywhere Master here in stores for like 65$ canadian (like 71 AUD), and I get excellent quality from it when paired up with DScaler. Ive already heard from several people in Australia how hard/expensive it is to get parts there...lol!

you know when you're watching a tv show and you get near the 1/2 hour mark and start to realise they are never gonna finish in time, thats how I felt at about post 20.

Ah sorry yup your right in the fact they are outdated spec soz about that ancorp...vid card runs at 595MHTZ sits at a cool 26 degrees 🙂 I have since added custon heatsinks to the ram also and thats OCed to 400MHTz I would change the details on overclockers.com.au but i have forgotten the password and an umable to obtain it from them...soo i haven't bothered, the main reason i posted there was to "showcase" the work i did on making the waterblocks etc... XP2500 running at Xp3200 speeds are a dime a dozen (or they weree til AMD decided to lock the XP2500's after week 33)
as for the capture card...im afraid most puta parts cost alot more in OZ ancorp, we are in a catch 22 here really..i could import from US etc but then im up for postage which defeats the purpose. The excel i mentioned though is 115 dollars from ebay new...i just put the avermedia up there to give you specs of what the card was mate. wouldnt be paying 179 dollars for it thats for certain lol

ewwww, a hydor pump. My L30's shaft wore out within weeks and I haven't bothered to replace it yet (will go for nothing less than an eheim now...its not worth saving $15). I've been back on aircooling for years now...and the noise still drives me insane. Its surprising how people claim they can't hear much below 30dB. I'm running 28dB and 23dB fans at 7v with unrestricted airpaths and the noise is annoying to no end!

SGseeker..never had a problem with my hydor pumps...this is the 2nd one i have used the first is still going strong after 3 years never turn them off is the key i believe...again guess you are just plain unlucky mate 🙂 15 bucks hahaha i wish... lot more difference than that between the two in Australia matey.Hydor 90 bucks Eheim 145. And to be perfectly blunt i would choose the Hydor...it pumps more and runs cooler.

Optics are on there way Andronico ... have no option but to sit tight and wait im afraid ... upto the postal service Trev got them sent pronto after I paid for them 🙂

I was just a bit curious about that pump of yours, is it noisy??? I was thinking of using one of those in my HTPC project ,that will be lined up with my projector, because it needs to be verry quiet.
