What is the gain of the open loop of the Q1 input stage at 20Hz, 1 kHz and 20 kHz?I built this design 17 years ago , when I was a "NOOB" !!
One picture instead of thousand words.
Wolverine,Son of Badger.
Please take into account that this number of distortion is MINE set-up lower level.
Amplifier's distortion is even lower.
Son of Badger's first schematic is by Ostriper, polishing and farther updated by a tim here in diyaudio.

Yes , my Greek friend. Where the BS hits the road....
I see the IPS module needs a big heatsink - my new ones run so much cooler - NO heatsink.
Ohhh , that's the big output stage w/MJLxxxx's (EF3 -4) .... PPM @ 250W !
Edit - "easyamp" is the very "barebones" version , but same basic design as Badger/wolverine/infidel circuits.

IMD is also quite low on this class of amplifiers. At one point at one frequency such distortion is not a problem.
Hi Pete,no i don't think that is required.
Never i touched this worm.☺️
BTW,i haven't finished your new designed amplifier due to economic difficulties 😞

Dear Hennady Kovalsky sir i have schematic of this amplifier that you share in the post.
Schematic is still complicated for me.
But design looks great.

Infidel is just a wolverine with cascode ( cascode fetish). They all fit the wolverine EF - same ips/ops interface.
I dropped the VAS Ic to 3.6-3.8 mA , they run cold with no heatsink.
All the others fit the wolverine OPS , as well.
I've chosen to concentrate on the symmetric designs (Hellraiser-CFA and Spookyamp-VFA).
Personally , I am going to build Hellraiser. I want to see what brute bandwidth (below) will get me.

Dear ostripper sir wolverine & honey badger is that your design?
I want to build one of them can pcb delivered through jlc pcb?

I don't run the store... I designed them but have nothing to do with the products.
DIYA store Badger is the "easy one", store sells pair for 40$.

Buy a ready-made kit from someone who has a store. Focus on building a case from pre-built boards.Schematic is still complicated for me.
From memory I sketched out the topology of a music amplifier for the home. A low quality-factor is necessary for an amplifier to be musical. Sounds similar to a tube amp.musicality is
another.
*two-stage, 4 “broken cascodes” in symmetrical topology
*the initial current of 0.5A was enough for comfortable listening to music.
P.S. very low quality-factor of the JLH amplifier, maybe that’s why many radio amateurs love him.

Ha ha ha !! Sex with an op-amp. Performance of pictured amp would be fully dependent on op-amp spec. (below) ....sex with function generator+oscilloscope and rewinding of burnt out tweeters.
Builder in 2014 tried TL0xx , sucked. OPAxxxx - quite the nice 100K square wave , perfect clip , he said it sounded perfect.
Deep in the 1000 posts of the "Slewmaster thread" (2014).
Edit - "burnt out tweeters" typically happen with saturated "sticky" VAS - bad clipping behavior.

It's the photo from internet. Name "Bolshevik" (I guess it was made by Stalin fans or something), "hogweed" for him will better. Ultra-linear crap has been created for sex with function generator+oscilloscope and rewinding of burnt out tweeters.
This is a later version, and, in my opinion, more complex. The order of the filters was changed just for stability. In general, the basis was taken on a composite that has proven itself quite well in audio circles. Moreover, outsourcing has not been canceled.
P.S. I finished with composites in 2019 due to relocation and the solution to simpler modeling, what they are finishing next is their creativity...
my version looked like this

Thank you, I tried to immediately integrate the developments into the building for test listening, where they were usually bought out.Very nicely build sir 🙂
Above in the posts I posted a picture of the attachment, LQF Amp, which I restored from memory, some 2 more compensation details were not completed there, which is actually why the name associated with the quality factor arose, I’ll probably try to assemble this version of the circuit again with laying out the assembly process and in a separate topic.
This option has a very decent distortion of less than 0.002% with an output power of 100 watts, it can be used in class A up to 10 watts of output power, then it works in class AB. I remember it precisely because it played very cool and cleanly with such a simple design.
this is terrible, the original version was actually like this:Ha ha ha !! Sex with an op-amp. Performance of pictured amp would be fully dependent on op-amp spec. (below) ....
