I recommend testing with a dummy load that's 2x the lowest rated resistance for the amp and using music. I used the following but any bass music is OK.
I tested at a level that resulted in intermittent clipping. I tested for longer but I'd recommend testing for at least 30 minutes.
The power rating of the resistor is going to depend on the resistor and where it's fan-cooled or on a heatsink. I used the cylindrical wirewound type like the ones attached. I had series-parallel groups but you can buy a larger single resistor... or whatever style you'd like.

Thanks.. will look for a brake resistor. Very often used i'n my cnc world.. for brake of a servo spilmotor. Thanks for the info ones again. Gonna get me the parts for the test. Before i destroy my New subs.. will be back soon.. and many thanks for the help. If i can do something back, let me know..
