I'm looking to reduce costs by $200-300 a month, so I highly doubt donations would cover it. In any case, I tried to find a 100% safe, anonymous way to accept small donations and other than crypto, didn't find any. I read a lot of small print on payment sites.I bet donations will more than cover your needs
How about implementing your suggestion of at least allowing contributors to continue to download and upload. I’ve only uploaded one schematic so far but would not mind contributing $ if that helps. I certainly don’t want to be one that has to be the gofer for the DIYAudio community that is amongst the 0.5% of contributors. None the less thanks for your years of service and hopefully the issues can get resolved ASAP
Let me get this straight, you are putting out $100’s a month running that web site, $ out of your pocket or personal finances?
Just realized that you are a new member, welcome aboard 🙂

I guess I'm sorry I ever provided any content for your site.... jeez man.
If you give me the URL of the image(s) you posted in the gallery, or the name of the account, I'm happy to remove them.
It doesn't bother me either way; the gallery is only there because people expect to be able to post images.
FWIW, I asked ChatGPT, and it had several ways. I won't post the response since it was lengthy. Here's what I asked "How do you block bots from scraping pdfs from your website".That's a very big subject. The first step is to log everything, then look for patterns.....
OK, that is a bit ironic as AI may now be the biggest scraper of all time. Cloudflare just announced a way where AI bots will be charged for scraping their properties.
Count me in on this. At the moment I just cannot log in at all. The site says (as I've mentioned before) that I'm using a proxy server (I'm not) or I'm a bot from a ISP data centre (I'm not).Dang it, I'd gladly donate 50 bucks a year to your site. I think, you might find out that even a small required donation would stop "determined scrapers". I dare say I'm not the only one who would be willing to support your site.
I'd cheerfully financially contribute if it gets around the useless interface, and deleting my account.
Don't get me wrong - I take my hat off to Canbol for putting his head over the parapet. That takes some bravery.
I'd just like to use the site again. I was never a frequent user, and I guess I got canned in the site clean up of 2021.
But the offer of financial contribution is serious. As I think it is for quite a number on this forum.
