I have a pi4/Beocreate with Hifiberry and it works fine, no native Tidal support which sucks but it seems otherwise okay.
Bonjour à tous, j'utilise actuellement volumio avec rasp PI3b+ et liaison I2s vers ak4399.
Est-ce que hifiberry os pourrait fonctionner dans cette configuration?
Je vous remercie.

Hi Dugain,
HBOS auto detect your sound card. So maybe on first boot it could not work !?
But you can try! edit "/boot/config.txt" and add "dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus"
And cross fingers...
Is it possible to have this Trackball with Scrollring plug in to the PC via USB and with magic it ist a volumepoti and play and stop dan skip

Is it possible to use this os without hifiberry HW? I installed it on a naked pi, i can connect sources to it but i get no sound using the onboard sound-output. I know, the onboard quality is bad - i just want to test it 😉

Hi Putzeudel,
I do not think so. Dugain is trying to use it with GPIO and external DAC but it seems quite difficult to make it work.

I used it successfully with an IQaudIO Digi+, which the OS thought was an HFB Digi.

Hi Yatsushiro,
HB drivers are used for many HAT but there, Putzeudel and Dugain have no HAT!
The sound card they use can have differents audio chips than HB ones.
So it can make bugs...
Hi,
I read on this forum (don't remind where exactly) that HBOS resamples to 48kHz.
You can have a look to diagnostics window to check this:

Hi, I tried HifiberryOS and it works fine. However, I want to use it with a USB DAC. I can change /etc/asound.conf to change the default card, but this change is wiped out at each reboot. Does anyone know how to make the change permanent ?
Thanks
Thanks
@hopkins
I got this working myself some time ago, but can't remember what I changed in order prevent the USB-DAC from disappearing. If I can find the time I'll try to find my solution during the weekend. (I'm not using this image at the moment, so need to set it up again).

Thanks. Hifberry's position is that the OS is only meant to be used with their products. I only use squeezelite znd sd spotify, so i can use Picoreplayer, for example, instead (and activate the spotty plugin in LMS). The hifiberry OS does work very well.
The spotify plugin in LMS is not great (lags). I'll try Raspotify. The nice thing about the Hifiberry OS is the ability to switch between players (in my case, playing through either squeezelite or spotify).
