With a larger value coupling capacitor the amplifier will be more prone to blocking distortion in case of grid current.
You can tame it by using a resistor between the cap and the grid (grid stopper). Of course it is not like removing it as it happens with interstage transformer or DC coupled cathode follower.
Thanks Pieter. Not knowing a lot about actual amp design I have to ask. Is blocking distortion in this case a good thing?
