These used to be $220... https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.c...s-excel-w22ny-001-e0045-8-nextel-cone-woofer/
For under $200 you can purchase a PAIR of SB23NRXS45-8 woofers with combined over 91db/watt and mount them in a counter-force, push-pull arrangement to remove vibration. Sealed 2.5cuft box will reach 50Hz without equalization. With L3=0.6mH, these are musical woofers with very good sounding high frequency extention.
Jim,
Have you considered PA drivers?
Will I get the SQ needed? Although I don't want to limit myself I want to make sure I am using a driver that does not compromise SQ.
Depends on what the designer does with all these bits.
How many Watts do you need from your amps?
I have a 130 watt amp (Modwright LS100SE)
300 m^2? Uiuiui.
That would be huge but I think the OP is american so it may refer to feet which would make the room a much more reasonable 27.8m^2.

Sooooo nice

AE TD10M-8 is a very nice driver for a two way speaker in a ported
cabinet to get an F3=60 Hz. It would be a lot of money spent just to
play the 50-300Hz region and in order to properly make a XO point
to a sub, you'd want that kick bass placed in a sealed box with the
right Qtc. Did you have DSP filters in mind?

Yes in a fleeting moment I admit I was dreaming I had $800 to spend on 2 woofers.
