Hi Efficiency Speaker Question

There is some info lacking to make anything but a slightly helpful reply.
1.6 cu ft is that the total enclosure volume or whats available for the bass driver/s ?
1.6 cu fy dedicated for Bass Driver only
What kind of spls are you looking for?
How high up will you run the subs?
thinking up to 300hz. As far as SPL its not critical anything will be louder than I can play my Vienna Acoustics. I want to go easy on the VA's. lol.
Look up 10" drivers from Faital, 18 sound, Beyma, AE, BMS, B&C etc.
Plug the parameters into winisd or similar and see which one gives you the extension you seek in the volume you have available.

And you need to make a choice in wether you want to use a compression driver+Horn or dome tweeter, in the case of a horn, the dispersion pattern of the horn will decide what size midbass will fit @ xo point.
And will normally make it a 2 way since you have a sub. Finding a 10" high efficiency driver that manage 94 db after baffle step comp means it will be a midbass driver pretty much. And in need of a sub below.
I will sacrifice efficiency. Is a system efficiency of 91/92 reasonable? Cabinet width is 11.5 inch. Baffle step is around 350 hz. (convenient)
If you use a dome tweeter with a waveguide the size of the waveguide will decide the mid/midbass size to match the dispersion pattern again.

If you use a dome tweeter without a WG there starts to get limited choices in tweeters but there are some good candidates around fx: Bliesma T34, Satori TW and a few ss/seas.
Although most of them cant play cleanly at the vlomues a cd/horn can.

And yes there is plenty of good sounding pro drivers out there, with enough efficiency.
But the 10" bass driver and 1.6 cu ft cabinet size might make it a bit tricky it that is total available volume.
Again I may have to think lower efficiency. Mu current speakers are in the upper 80's (87 maybe)
