HI,
If building this circuit for a differential output dac, is there any danger if the correct orientation is not known for the inv and non iv outputs from the dac to the tubes on schematic?
What is the danger?

Thanks

Hello -
If you choose the wrong outputs it will invert the absolute polarity of the audio signal. There is no danger, but the sound quality will be slightly degraded.
However, there is a danger if you use current-output DACs with this circuit. It will not work. This circuit is only for voltage-output DACs.
Good luck,
Charles Hansen

some discs will suffer, others will improve
there is no such thing as "absolute correct polarity". I have recordings where even different mics have different polarity - horror.........

It has been shown in carefully conducted ABX tests that inverting the polarity of an audio signal will simply not be audible. You have nothing to worry about in this respect.

my own ABX tests show >80% score, depending on te material
what reference do you have to these tests ?
