Nevermind, I will use this following schematics and change the first gain stage to ECC83 or ECC88.

Re. first circuit alternatives: B+ is a little low to use the cathodyne / split-load. The LTP is therefore preferable.
With the LTP (as in second post) there will be enough gain for typical modern sources without the first input stage. You may consider a transistor CCS for the "tail" of the LTP.

I went for the Paraphase splitter found at Fred Nachbaur's site. It was simple and has worked VERY WELL giving me many hours of pleasant musical experience (until I accidently shorted the outputs - but that's another story).
