This thread has been dead for a few years now, but in case anyone is listening I want to thank everyone who posted for leaving enough info for me to mod my SI, which I've been finally got to work on after owning it for most of a decade. I reboxed it in a nicer case with proper binding posts and a nice industrial looking volume knob, then got some Solen 2.2uf input caps which has really helped the bass.
