Could be an old germanium signal type. Does it still have a measurable forward drop?

Yes, for checking tookout from pcb it's ok, but never seen this kind of diod before,that's why m asking, and also confuse there is no value on top of it, 🤔

If Si , voltage drop is about 0,5V , then maybe 1n914.

Also the meter reading value at diod mode showing half the value of any normal diod , may b has les drop that's why his showing

Depends on where it is used and what function performs. Sometimes even si can be placed in place of ge, but with circuit modifications. Do you have a schematic with this diode ?

I would use a 1N270 if the reverse voltage is above 35 volts. If lower a 1N34. Of course most diodes sold as a 1N34 are just any germanium diode, sometimes even a Schottky silicon diode!

You can find these in Indian online electronics outlets.

Looks like a glass diode, may be OA79, if used as a RF detector.
That has a whisker, see with mgnifying glass.
Please specify where it is used, and what is the issue.
Why do you want to replace it?

It's from old amp like 30 years old or something, it's single signal diod used at bias section problem only only one side voltage swing, replaced with 4148 + 2.2ohm resistor and amp is working, because in market this diod not is available,
