well it is about 24 F here with snow on the ground. I am not so dedicated to the project. If you need to gate reflections out of a measurement, why don't you just measure outside ?
PS.
Going right back to the first thread-photo, your tweeter appears to have 'sliding alignment'. (?)
As Allen once said (in so many words) : 'Distance can amount to/manifest as Phase'.
My parts come today so I will be able to accurately match both speakers with correct resistor values. I went through all of the capacitor values for the tweeter and get the flattest curve from the 9 uf. This one also sounds best to my ears so I will work on the resistor value to bring output to about 3 db below the woofer output. I think a 6 ohm is going to do it.
The gating is a big help in understanding what is going on. I do have a roll off at about 12 khz that I don't get. the phase is also 360 off at that point so is that an impedance issue. The Zobel I have been using has no affect that I can see.

About that phase. What you have there is almost a straight line.
This is about understanding the plotting method. If you were to reverse the polarity of the speakers so it changed 180 degrees, the plot would stay within the upper and lower limits and it wouldn't wrap, however nothing important has changed. 0 and 360 degrees are considered the same thing. In this case they are. At other times they still may be the same thing and where not, you'll see it in group delay.
Pay no attention to the wrapping in this case.

As for the 12kHz rolloff, I'd look past it just for now. It doesn't look too harmful and it may be something simple, like a mic rolloff. Perhaps deal with it once you discover a reason to actually worry about it.
Just a final report - I am really enjoying the speakers with the new woofer and crossover. Clarity and spatial positioning of instruments is better. Definitely better bass and high frequencies. So all around improvement.
I think this woofer is a much better match for the Raal's. They are not perfect but a much better solution than spending a bunch of money on new speakers (that wouldn't be perfect either). Thanks again to the forum.
