That won’t make an operational difference.

It’s wired as a variable resistor, meaning it’s a two-terminal device, so the only thing that would happen if you put it in the wrong way around is the reaction of the pot would feel backward… turning clockwise would decrease the value, but otherwise will operate electrically normal.

So carry on.

will have more time tonight

now - preliminary (first morning coffee then must fly) - it seems everything OK with FE

stare at goats OS-es, do not connect them to anything, we must deduce are there any errors with parts and what's proper termination of all lines to and from OS modules

something is very fishy about them

edit:

in meantime, you can do few more things with FE measurement:

  • P1 - gimme measurements for both extreme positions (min and max) - repeat measurement across P1+R5 and write here (both cases)
  • I assume P2 is in max position for this measurement; dial it all the way in other position, gimme measurement D+ to D-, write here
  • write here Vdc for rails during the test; V+ and V-, black probe to GND in both cases
  • same for C+ and C- points; I need to be sure these are appropriate before connecting OS modules
P1 & R5 , min = 224.3mv max = 0.423v

P2, min = 1.893v max = 4.105v

V+ = 074.4v
V- = 074.5v
C+ = 044.7v
C- = 045.1v

one thing

if preaching choir is confusing, you can clearly say - "Boyz, hold on, I'm going to listen just that guy"

I would be happiest if some of Greedy Boyz who actually have same/similar amp at home, chime in and give some insight

even just picture of OS ensemble from same functional amp could be helpful, because I see those as potential problem, still
Being honest I am struggling, might be my autism might be that I just ain’t smart enough.
I’m trying my best to learn as I go and not **** you guys off , if I have I’m sorry.
I am the go to guy to fix any issues with a building and I’m pretty good at fixing cars . I can’t let you guys down now and I’m not ready to give up yet ( but I’ve come close today)
Sometimes I don’t understand what’s being asked of me , I’m trying guys, Zen , Gary , William and Mike and all others thanks for bearing with me on this .

I think that if you pissed off ZM he would let you know. I for 1 am following intently hoping to learn something, mostly thru osmosis, and am really glad to not be in your shoes on this 1. Unfortunately, I've been avoiding 2 projects that are experiencing technical difficulties, 1 of which I got part way thru with the kind assistance of @rayma and others, need to get back to that in the near future.

Well if others are learning that’s good , I certainly am 😁( my brain hurts )

This has been a rollercoaster of a journey but that was down to my ignorance, several times I thought “ here we go it’s ready “ only to be kicked back down again, now I’m not sure and not too confident of ever hearing it .
👍🏻
Good luck with your project btw

Autism can be tough. You are doing great so don't you worry! Whether someone is smart or not, wrapping your head around electronics is a big undertaking and for most people is a lifelong journey.

I haven't had any time lately to sit down and read through the thread intently. However, Zen is the guy to listen to. You eat an elephant by taking one bite at a time. In other words, try to focus on the small pieces of the project rather than the whole picture so you do not get overwhelmed.
