Help please to identify switch type

Hoping one of the experts here can tell me the name of the switch mechanism I'm looking to replace. It's on a Pioneer A-656 amp, but I've seen them elsewhere.

At the user end it is a rotary 5-way mechanism, and behind the front panel, the mechanism converts this to a linear motion which, by means of a metal connector, operates a slider switch mounted on a pcb.

I'm sure there must be a simple name for this but can't seem to find it. Then starts the hunt for a replacement!

Many thanks.

I won't expect that to be an off the shelf part, rather Pioneer had them made custom for the application. I know the thing you describe.

Find a service manual for that model and see what Pioneer calls them in the parts list.

That looks like a unique manufacturer specific switch. The linkage is a mechanical flat metal flexible strip allowing the control on the panel and the actual switch to be located in separate locations.

A lot of commercial gear (the likes of Sony, Aiwa etc) used these but they were not off the shelf parts, they seemed unique to the product,

The part is ESA2682.
Hi JUCATO, I have the same problem with that, i have a technics su-v5 where the cables of input selector and rec selector are broken now, those cables have 10 000 cycles of use as said the fabricant, i founded some similar cable slider https://www.ebay.com/itm/255144520808?hash=item3b67cc6c68:g:X50AAOSwLTZfWyTf this not fit directly with the switch, but you can adapt the cable to work with the internal slider selector, i try to do that but unafortunately works to reverse direction the reason is because if the selector is on the tape2 position on the input selector the selector slider works to reverse direction its working with the aux input, if you put tape 1 this work with the tuner selection and so, the unique values where match this selector is on the central position, because this selector is not the original its a rare selector Alps and this model is not found actually on the website of alps electric co, i hope you can use it for a while, i will try to replace this ESA2682 with a rotative 2 way 5 positions as an experimental solution but i dont know if this works to the end..
