Help: nView-Z 250 psu?

From looking at the power supply being sold with a couple other Nview panels on ebay it looks like a standard barrel connection.
The power supply shown is quite large so it likely takes a fair amount of juice. If you dont get some real info shortly you could find a low voltage/ampherage adapter somewhere and see if you can get any indication of power on like an led or something. At least that way you could find out the polarity. If you do, you likely know that you would not want to use any kind of power supply with much power or leave it connected long enough to do anything but light an indicator.

A quick look shows that even the ones with the weird 5 pin connector use 12V and as high as 2.9amps.

Good luck there

It may be obvious, but you are not the first person to have this problem. There are a lot of threads talking about this and one mentions that it can be harmful to use less power than the device requires. My suggestion may be a bad idea! Since there are so many posts and someone may even have had the exact model and had to find a power supply. Don't risk your panel.

I've seen mention of using an atx ps before and don't understand how it's done. The volts, amps and polarity are shown on several pinouts, but I thought you needed a cpu to get one to go to full power. How do you get around this?

Thanks
