Help getting started with Pass DIY amp.

it is a nice CRC/CLC PSU. it supports 6pc 40mm caps, bleeder resistors and bypass caps.

So this PSU can use a generic model ?

Is the referred PSU: Snubberized Power Supply Kit Contents
Can just use the kit without modifications ?

True. Some of the PSUs take different values (sizes) for their electrolytic capacitors. Having said that, the overall schematic, and therefore the LAYOUT of the PCB itself is pretty "universal".

I'm assuming you've read the F5 note on the Pass First Watt site. This gives the recommended values for the PSU to be used with the F5. It would be up to you to determine if you want a common power supply (powering both channels) or dual power supplies (one for each channel). You'll need to read this referenced note, if you haven't yet. I gives a pretty clear understanding of how the F5 works, which is valuable for a new builder.

this is UP too you:) ex. 6x10.000uF 2.2Kohm and 2.7uF is a great start for a F5:D and a 300VAtransformer for eatch channel:D
 
Well, thanks again guys, this is getting exciting!.
Ordered the amp boards (the long, narrow ones he-he!), as
they will fit my idea of sink better and have that Pass look to it too...
Also bought power supply boards (they were sitting on the doc o the Bay),
but they come with eight 10 000uf caps inst of 15's... Good enough ?
or should i change em for 15's ? ( the boards are un-populated).
Planing to order a pair of Conrad MF 35-151.5 sinks (vertical fins) and using the
aluminum chassis as aditionnal cooling.
The amp will be well ventilated, in a cool, dry environment.
 
I am in Quebec!. I want to put together the F-5 as my first attempt on
diy amplifiers and a B-1 to "feed" it afterwards.

Back in the first toroidal transformers days, they were enclosing them
in steel "cans" to make em quiet and non-magnetic to circuits around them.

Antek even offers them for some models (up to 400 vac)...
I was wondering, if we wouldn't gain even more silence so to speak,
by using those?... Just food for thoughtsss here!.
