Hi
I want to install a pot to use as a passive volume control between a Cambridge Audio DACmagic 200m and a Aiyima A07 integrated amplifier.
The DAC has an output impedance of 50 ohms (I am using the unbalanced outputs).
The amplifier has an input impedance of 23kOhms @1kHz.
What makes my question slightly different is that the amplifier is mounted out of sight in a case (with a dedicated power supply), and I want to leave the integrated volume control at circa 50% so that kids cannot blow my speakers. I do not want to use the DAC volume control for separate reasons.
I am just going to use an APLS blue with less than 20cm of interconnect cable each side.
What value pot should I use?

Thanks rayma. I have purchased one from Hifi Collective.
N.B. to others i have accidentally purchased fakes in the past, with imbalanced volume at low levels, and who knows what impedance. Hence the purchase from Hifi Collective.

One can do better than a Alps blue. Even the Cheap Chinese SMD stepped attentuator is immediately /obviously better sounding.
Certainly, if the resolution is acceptable, discrete resistors will be better.

I have a Denon dra435r which has a passive preamp input > vol > power amp < tone controls
Works better then expected but is noisy as the amp has a gain over 200 with bass and treble maxed.
