Help calculating W-bin folded horn HIFI

Here's some dims found in alleged Belle plans - I removed the internal grille for better clarity. The flat panel on the front could host the vents and perhaps with a cover when one wants a sealed back chamber.

All this designs are cca 700mm deep. And i have only 550mm.
This is the biggest problem for making horn with dimensions like this. I can go in height 800 mm,maybe more if needed, lenght is 1250mm max and depth 550mm max.
What if i make one of this w bins from plans and turn the mouth of the horn facing floor, and put box on some legs, maybe 100-150mm heigh, how this will work?
Or its stupid idea?

You could easily test a H frame with your 18". Maybe you will like the result. It is easy to try.
So,after some pauze on woofer project,im again on the begining, not sure what is the best for my needs.
One my friend is big fan of Linkwitz and OB systems and he said to me,why you wont try H frame? You can do that in less then hour, you can start with that. Than i remenber your post also. Im a carpenter, and have full work shop,so i decide to give it try. It really take one hour with making plans for cnc. Some scrap leftover boards and here it is.
And im really suprise.
Its so atacking,clen,deep,massiv and loud.
My amp is 150w for this purpose and i have problem to make volume not to loud for rest of system. It play on minimum minimum, and its enough. Wow!
And H is like 4,5 time smaller then pland w bin.
Now i gona experiment with H to see if this is what can make me satisfied.
Thanks for advice. Its good start if nothing else. Finaly this monster start to work for my dallas II 🙂

Run the Loudspeaker Wizard and select Direct Radiating and then H Frame

Just to clarify, the Input Wizard under the Help menu should be used to create the record, and the Loudspeaker Wizard under the Tools menu (when in Edit mode) then used to adjust the input parameter values.

To specify an H-frame loudspeaker, select the following Input Wizard options:

  • Half space
  • Direct radiator
  • Open baffle
  • H-frame open baffle
