Yes, noticed that when we used to go there on holiday. When I lived in Asia, you could go out at 12 midnight in Tokyo in mid-summer and it was still sweltering- same in Taiwan. Strange thing in the UK is you can get a really hot day, but as soon as the sun goes down, the temperature plummets to the mid-teens (C) within 2-3 hours. Even when we had the heatwave year before last, it cooled off quickly. The problem here is because the houses are so well insulated, once inside heats up, it takes a day or two to cool down even after a heatwave has passed. Air con isn’t really a thing here. I guess being surrounded by cool ocean helps moderate temperatures. Here on the Greek island of Aegina it was 39C in the shade this afternoon. Even now, at 02:00, it's 33C in the house. It doesn't really cool off a great deal at night. My laptop freaks out at 39C.
Here in the summer the African anticyclone oppresses us and on the worst days the temperatures even exceed 32° in a metropolitan house day and night without any breath of wind and with relative humidity percentages over 70%.
It seems like the exact opposite of a comfortable state and the use of the air conditioner is practically obligatory.
What I sometimes wonder is whether and in what way the hot air emanating outside from the air conditioners does not worsen the external temperature values and by how much.
However, as I also reported on another thread, the following may be of interest as a voice that goes against the grain and stands out from the crowd.

And as reported by @StevenCrook also this other reading

And the sky is Blue & water is Wet
( I don't have a good time with Climate Change deniers )
Incredible.... you've gone full political... so has Bonsai.
My recommendation is to stick to audio subjects then, don't introduce politics into these forums.
Unless you are willing to hold a real discussion and not fall for Alinsky tactics once you are above your head with facts.
Is there a thread / post ignore button, that functions like a person ignore button?Use your ignore button
Sometimes I get tired of threads I once participated in. Sometimes I wish I could just do some click on the alert stack and halt the alerts of new activity (un-follow) on certain ones...
I guess I'm not much of a computer programmer, not having figured this out.
Thanks, Rayma. I was looking in the wrong spot.
Doesnt political just mean you have an underlying interest or position about something? Like "saving the planet" or "short term monetary gains" or "the truth"? I stand with a somewhat popular position about Open Baffle speakers.

Also in the page header there's a "watched" pull down menu.
Select "watched threads (all)" and there will be a list of yours.
There will be a button at the top right "Manage watched threads"
which will allow you to either just stop email notifications,
or to stop watching threads that you check the email box for.

Some seem to think just about anything is political, but as the Buffalo Springfield said, paranoia strikes deep.
One would think that at least having a planet to live on, or food to eat, would not be.
I live near a beautiful wetland - duck & swan lake. There is a great amount of flora, including Water Lilies. There is a run of about 70 feet of blackberry bushes along my driveway. This year the berries are hardly worth picking due to the hot dry weather. Normally they would be loaded with big berries.
This past spring & summer, the water lilies never grew into full flower, they stayed stunted and slowly died off ???
In Autumn, new baby flowers grew (as if confused as to the season), then quickly died off.
I have never seen the above happen before.

It's actually common for people on the forum to confuse "political" with "partisan", and they have completely different meanings.
I find it funny that a certain member keeps getting away with dropping climate denial potshots, but then calls out the identification of his climate denial as "political" whereas his comments are somehow magically not so. Baffling.
So? Some summers get hotter than others, some winters get colder than other.
Europeans have been in Australia for 300 years, at most.
This thread has run its course as far as I'm concerned... nothing to do with Audio. Not even food.
My biggest concern, audio wise, is that I need to replace both drivers in my Audio Notes because the factory made a running change... Now, that got me FUMING... perhaps that's what causing the temperatures to go hotter?
BTW, I live near beautiful wetlands too. No issues, everything is fine.

Interesting that Floridians, while most are quite conservative, strongly acknowledge that climate change is happening.

Of course, this is due to the indisputable evidence plainly right before their eyes, and directly affecting their lives.

Appeal to numbers is logically fallacious. As you ought to know, Western Empirical Science does not accept such.
Rayma, you might want to stop. As a moderator you ought to know better than to inject such politics into the forum.
I could go and and on with logic but then some people will come up with illogical arguments and ad hominem attacks.
Right now I just want my Audio Notes to get fixed so I can try the bridged F4 amps ( yes, I got the FE and the cables to go ).

Okay this has gone too far.
Thread closed for now.
Why does it always have to be this way?
