I have tried a couple of those Hdmi audio extractors, if the audio signal from the hdmi cable is 96Khz or 176.4Khz, the de-embeder outputs always 48Khz on the coax spdif output.

Its a sony bluray player. I verify with a friend's Dac, that the sony output the correct sample rate (pcm), I have reach up to 192Khz. But with the converters I only get 48Khz maximun.

Lots of people come here asking for 5.1 or 7.1 digital audio extraction from HDMI. Nobody ever finds a solution because the data is encrypted.

RIP the BD to an Hard-disk. You'll then play the tracks on the PC SPDIF or Coax out.
I'm sure a cheap or non DHCP compliant extractor will downgrade the quality.
