That's not a bad idea. Especially, since I have enough to make roughly 5kW worth of a 60Hz stage of a 120/240V AC Inverter
Sure, now alls I need is a good control circuit, assorted support components, big Ls and Cs (I want sinewave out with reasonably high efficiency), and a good case to put it in.
I was thinkin' of PWM'ing the output stage at something like 30-36kHz, while modulating that at 120Hz, then some big Ls & Cs to recover the 60Hz component. Obviously, for a power level of 5-10kW, I would need some very big components. Not wanting to get too far off-thread, this may have relevance with Alex's original questions.

Indeed, getting decent efficiency at high power can become less fun, especially because of increases in size and parts cost.
I AM SUFFERING WITH THE SAME PROBLEM THAT IS PERSISTING WITH ALEX IN THIS POST.
I HAVE USED TWO SWITCH FORWARD CONVERTER
RATING IS 24V AND 14A.
WITH A MERE 20 OHM LOAD THE VOLTAGES ARE FLUCTUATING.
