When wading through the snake oil that is audio, I just take note of the companies that DON'T use standard ways to measure things--they get put on my only as a last resort list. Nothing personal, I don't have time to reverse engineer all the marketing.
I can understand why George Lucus created THX certifications. If everyone is full of BS--it makes the movies sound bad no matter how hard the engineers worked to make it sound convincing. My advice to people that want it all in one box? Get that certification so at least SOMETHING follows a basic standard.
Now to go out to the garage and see if my glue is setting up well, watched wood never warps! 😉

Nice find Post #41: Pat# 5261006. If you look through the prior art in that one (and so on) it's obvious, that applying a Helmholtz resonator to an acoustic pathway is an interesting, and always novel and patentable idea. (ROFC - rolling on the floor crying) 🙂

Any invention released with insufficient useful data to allow its' reproduction isn't an invention at all.

Hi, that patent is the original Phil Clements one from 1983 & filed in 1979. I previously posted the patent # in Post # 18 😉
