Aopologies for resurrecting an old thread.
Be aware that with the same type number TKD has an attenuator (ladder type volume control) and a true potentiometer. The channels in the potentiometer do not match as well but there are moments you'll have to use a true potentiometer and cannot use an attenuator.

just saw that TKD is Tokyo Ko-On, a name more familiar to me. they always have produced conductive plastic pots. I friend of mine in japan helped them to develop the large studio motorpots, to replace the expensive Penny and Giles.

😕
I wish I read this comment before I ordered those fresh ladder type TKD attenuators (I thought they were pots). They sound so different from my 13 year old TKD true pot. Attenuators are more refined, they sound more transparent with the wider stage and more air. The old pot gives body to the sound. I personally prefer the pot sound better however this is a matter of taste.
Which ones? I've bought 4 gang stepped and also 3 gang in which 2 gangs were log an 1 linear. A special request, of course, but I was able to get them.
Sadly there is no 4 channel version available from the DACT type 21 steppers.
I have seen such assemblies from certain specific suppliers. Ask this person if he can make one for you.
They gang two stereo controls on one shaft.
