All outstanding international orders made before July 30 have been sent out today.

We went through some scary moments, when the parcel shipped by Brian on Aug 6 (which supposed to be delivered on Aug 12) appeared to be lost. If you check FedEx tracking info http://www.fedex.com/cgi-bin/tracki...ode=us&mps=y&ascend_header=1&imageField=Track it does not show any further info after Toledo, OH. But luckily, I received it this morning.😉

For comparison here's the tracking info of the parcel that was shipped 2 days later (and arrived on time) : http://www.fedex.com/cgi-bin/tracki...&initial=x&mps=y&tracknumbers=444945910000019

I appreciate eveybody's patience and understanding. We make our best to deliver, but sometimes it's beyond our control.

I'm also donating $200 to the forum, as this offer has become very popular and response is overwhelming.

Hi Peter,

Sorry about the delay, but is it too late to place an order? Can you send me a link to details on your kit? Actually, I'd like to build a pair of active monitors with 2 amps per speaker. A small one for the tweeter and a larger one for the woofer. Can you please help me? I could really use some direction.

Thanks, Nick

Hi Nick,

It's never too late to place an order. Sometimes there is a delay, because of parts availability, but we accept new orders on continuous basis. Here's the link: http://www.briangt.com/order/

US orders are handled by Brian, I take care of International requests.

Online manual, that explains most of the construction issues, can be found here: http://www.briangt.com/nigc_kit-users_guide.pdf

Don't be too hasty :hot: I almost screwed up my passive preamp enclosure because I tried to do too much in too little time. One mistake can take several hours to fix.

I hope I get my GC soon. I ordered it 2.7 🙁

On the other hand, my wife won't let me start an another project before I finish a TV shelf for our living room (she's been waiting for it since last year 😱 ). What do you think about my veneering press 😀

She's not too happy about it but doesn't complain 😀
I started building in the living room but I moved to listening room after while. It's rather nice to set up the gear on the floor near the sweet spot and listen some music while building things. Yesterday I spent a few hours sanding the veneered boards in the back yard. Another few hours and the boards will be ready to be laquered. I think I'll choose water based lacquer. It dries so fast that I should be able to add three or four coats of lacquer in one evening. After that :smash: :smash: :smash:
I won't settle with the easy way with the gainclone. I will build a separate box for power supply and so on. No compromises!
The hardest part is to find suitable aluminium profiles :xeye:
I'll probably finish it with zebrano wood as my passive preamp.

Can't wait to compare GC with my Densen Beat B300XS. I also intend to borrow the GC to a few experienced hifi enthusiast to get an honest and reliable opinion about GC's sound quality. I will make a full report about building the GC to my internet pages.

After I finish GC I'll build a Pännäri Revenge Tube preamp. I've already gathered some parts for it but I haven't really started the project.

On the other hand I would like to build a Jordan JX92S speaker with this enclosure:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38755

I would also like to continue modifying my CDP and I would really like to build a top notch power filter we designed in the hifiharrastajat.org forum.

So much to do and so little time! :bawling: 😀

My kits arrived yesterday, woo hoo 😀 😀

Many thanks to Brain and Peter.

I've got a really neat chassis planned that's gonna house all 4 channels so that i can bi amp from the one box.

I've got to finish putting my motorbike back together first. (to many hobbies not enough time :xeye: )

Cheers
