Group order of non-inverted LM3875 pc boards? Anyone interested?

Here is a picture of the version 2.0 board for the LM3875. Here is a list of differences:

- extra rectifier board, so only one pcb set needed for monoblocks
- placement for the feedback resistor on the pcb (can still be soldered directly to the chip
- zobel network added, optional, but recommended if stability issues arise
- slightly changed routing and planes
- ground planes on rectifier board

I am working on a new order page now, to start taking orders. I am looking to order the new pcbs next week with a 1 week turn-around time.

Items to be offered:
- Basic Kit
- Premium Kit
- Black Gate 1000uF STD capacitor upgrade
- extra available for monoblocks

The boards will be red, just like last time.

I see you put both chips on the outside of the board this time too, so people can bild them both onto heatsinks without needing to snap the board up into the four loses sections.

This is certainly an option, but I prefer the monoblock configuration, with the boards piggybacked together. The mounting holes and power connections align between the 2 boards.

Brian,
Beautiful work! I've been using your original design as a starting point to learn a little about designing PCBs and for me the learning curve is steep. I added a Zobel to your original design but I think this V2 just looks so much "cleaner" than what I've been able to do. :bawling:

The problem for me now is that I have to decide between ordering a V2 LM3875 kit or one of your 48xx kits! (Maybe I can talk the "boss" into both.)

Good luck with your "boss". The LM3875 kits should hopefully start shipping out again in 2 weeks after I start taking orders. I am ordering the pcbs with 1 week turn-around, while the LM4780 will take longer, since I still need to finalize the design.

I have started to take orders for all kits again, in addition to offering Black Gate 1000uF STD 50v capacitors. Details are on the ordering page:
http://www.briangt.com/order/

You will notice that I have a separate page for US and Canadian/International orders. For the US orders, I will be putting the kits together and shipping them out. For the Canadian/International orders, I will ship all of the parts for the orders to Peter Daniel, in Canada, and he will be shipping them out. This will create a lower shipping cost for Canadian residents, and make the orders more manageable for me.

I will wait a few days for some orders to come in, then I will order the pcbs with a 1-week lead-time, determined by the demand. I ordered the premium resistors almost 5 weeks ago, and they should all be here next week. I should have all the parts and pcbs and begin putting the kits together in about 2 weeks or so from now, and start shipping out orders first-come-first-serve.

Information about all the kits is on the webpage:
http://www.briangt.com/order/
When placing orders, be sure to add the shipping cost to your order.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi,

I'd like to order some kits. Could you tell me how much it is for just the board and how much it is for the kit?

Thanks, Nick
