Hi Marc,
I'd like 1 group in the high Idss category please. Apparently the high Idss 170's can be used in the HV Shunt reg instead of the LSK389.
Thanks.

All my parts arrived today - thanks Marc for all your effort in organising this very successful group buy!

yes, I'm on that group buy as well 🙂 What is the current requirements and how much power is dissipated from the devices? I'll see what I can do to supply people, as so far all my requests have been from the lower Idss grades. Also, note that I was measuring off a battery, not the 10v supply that is used according to the datasheet to sort the devices. I think that would imply that my readings are a bit on the high side? I'm sure AndrewT can comment. In general, these devices run "higher" per Idss class than the Toshiba devices, from what I'm seeing, but so far I've just attributed this to my somewhat low-tech measuring.
assuming everyone comes through who has requested devices comes through, I only have 6 sets remaining. Idss from 15mA-19.5mA.

Had a quick look and it looks like they both have around 3mA running through them.

How many devices are in one set? I ordered 5 boards from the HV shunt regular GB which means i will need equivalent of 10 LSK389 which implies a minimum of high idss 170's as I will need to matching them up? Can I sweep all 6 sets 🙂
Thanks,
i am interested in one pack LSK389 subs. my a/c is stil under moderation so hence posting in the thread.
Excellent, I would like to get 2 sets of high idss 170's if there is any left from the GB. I will send PM to luvdunhill later.Bas Horneman said:

Has somebody compared sonically the performance between LSK389 and 2SK389?
Is there any diference ?
Or is the LSK389 a exact substitute for 2SK389 ?

are there any exact substitutes in this hobby? 🙂 I've compared them a bit.. seems the Linear devices have a bit less noise... other than that, it's very hard to pass judgment. I think I hear one thing, and then I switch back and hear something else... They are close enough that I don't know what really to believe 🙂

Good to know is hard to find diferences between them.
Intersting to know that LSK389 has less noise, too !
Once more, thanks!

Just sent you a PM, please let me know you don't receive it.
