Nice to see every one again and several new comers and catch up.
Enjoyed the SIT amplifier too!
Made a few side deals for parts and boards.
Testing of preamps with the Amber test set was popular too.

Hi kodabmx,
Absolutely! Bring it with you for the next meeting you can make! After all, that is the point of these events.

To Dave and everybody, thanks for hosting and attending the last meetup.
Since I will be soon busy packing up to visit the relatives over the holidays, this is the last chance to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Look forward to the next meet in 2020!
Mike

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave again for hosting all the meets at his shop, and his warm hospitality. I enjoyed every meet that was held. To Dave and the diy gang, wish you all a Merry X'mas and a Happy, Healthy New Year!! See you guys next year!

Happy "some people get a few days off"... May your transition from 2019 to 2020 be a smooth and safe one.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Hope Santa gets you that new soldering iron and Toshiba Jfets you asked for.

Hi Dave,
A soldering station and tips are pretty personal things. Just ordered some more tips as they were on sale. The soldering stations I discovered this year are so much better than what I was using, I had to buy one ... two. One is loaded for heavier work, the second is for surface mount stuff.
Best bought by yourself and sneaked into the house when no one is looking.

Greetings all,
Do you folks have (or know of) a resource page for GTA audio DIY folks (i.e. before I go swimming through 131 posts)?
I'm looking for someplace I can find nicer headphone jacks and stereo log pots, for example. The usual GTA suspects (for general electronic bits and pieces) are a little lean on such.
Cheers,
Mike
ps. I'm sorry I missed your recent meetup - I only just found this forum!

I've been meaning to undertake a field trip to A1.
Its' been years since I was last there - nice to see he's still going strong.

A1 has a lot of old surplus, transformers, wire, heatsinks, etc, some polystyrene caps, most of his electrolytics are too old to waste your time on. but not premium “audio grade” parts.
No over the counter sales on better components any more in the GTA, there used to be a few but all gone now.
Pots - try Parts Connexion in Burlington / oakville area
Headphone jacks - ebay is best source now.

There's https://audiosensibility.com in Toronto for cables, wires, AC plugs and audio sockets, including Munforf MLytic caps at competitive price.
Dear me. I'm not ready to shell out for the Lalique tubes and Faberge knobs and buttons that would justify $400 RCA jacks!
