You have to contact miniDSP customer service. They will say that the 2x8 has enhanced hardware which makes it possible to get longer delays than 9ms. I don't know which plugin it uses but that is what they told me. Maybe not real?
Totally agree. MiniDSP changed my life. Seriously. 🙂
So easy and so fast to make a good FAST.
Nice assortment of drivers there. What did you think of the RS1197?
(Was doin' a MJK B15 baffle, first with FE83, then 1197, [then the others ...] ; loved them both but ... both ran out of steam on open baffle when I cranked it)

Ha, dude!
That's soo many centuries ago ...😉
I have no basement ... only ...
Storage!

🙄
If you want real delay go miniSHARC
"Delay (time alignment) Up to 3000ms (3s) per channel (3m) in 0.02ms increments"

PS and ... FIR
Holy Bang-per-buck!

That's right it was the miniSHARC. It needs independent separate DACs to work though.
I2S DACs!

[I could go for all digital on the t and m (diff gain on each 2ch amp) and then i2s9032 for the b1 and b2
or
1545 (or 1541) on the t and m ('only' 16 bit) and then x or i2s9032 for the b1 and b2]
oh ya ... and:

Plugin:
96k/24
2x i2s in
2x spdif in
8x i2s out
2x spdif out (i2s 7, 8)
...
and ... achoo:
FIR filter section
Up to 9600 @48kHz /3400 @ 96kHz total taps available for the whole platform.

Not only I MiniDSP :: Topic: Plug-in for 2x4 with 15-25 ms delay and PEQ (1/1)(I want to test DBA\SBA concept)
The new miniDAC8 should go on sale here shortly. It'll add 8 I2S dac outputs to the miniSharc for $100. Sounds like a winning combo imo.

Does look good.....now if only the outputs were balanced 😀
I liked my miniDSP while it worked.
Best of luck to all of you getting help if something goes wrong.

Howdy Folks,
For those still interested in controlling 2 or more miniDSP units from one PC, here's how I do it. Scroll down to section 3 for the description of that particular part of the project. And for anyone who likes to actually watch the sausage being made, here is the whole story of my current, somewhat goofy but wonderful sounding setup. (It does have a happy ending!)

Jim the Oldbie,
Thanks for the link. I guess Adobe Air is the platform miniDSP plugins are based on? I will give it a try but hope it doesn't wreck my computer. 🙂

You're welcome! I also hope it doesn't wreck your computer, of course. 🙂
Let us know how it works for you if you have time.

Hi Jim
You could not have posted at a better time😉
It seems I have more or less re-invented your idea http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/271825-dsp-horns-hdmi-home-theatre.html#post4269361
and I would appreciate your comments
Best wishes
