A permanent install such as in a church is no place for a diy amplifier, if the amp fails and burns down the building, the insurance company will do nothing because the amp was diy, instead you could end up in jail.

Instead look for a PA amp made by a well known company with good reputation such as QSC, Crown or Behringer.

My church is not thatched roof to burn

Since it is considered a permanent install, i do strongly discourage building the amp yourself. Real PA amps have been thoroughly tested and thrown off the factory roof to ensure reliability and dependability.

Diying an amp is easy, but diying a amp that is dependable and reliable under the kinda conditions you have in a PA rig is very hard.
