Goldmund Mods, Improvements, Stability

Actually, if you are really interested in this stuff study physics.
The pay is probably not as good but in my opinion the work is more interesting.
Only you can decide in the end, but I would highly encourage you to do further study.

Keen , another interest of mine .. alternative energy (wind mills ,solar) lots of that in texas(the jobs are there). Super LEDS , high frq. power transmission. All pay boocka $$$'s and are the jobs that will be created in the next 10 years. As china and the US/EU "lock horns" over the remaining petrol , these jobs will be much more critical.

I turned 17 in august. I will graduate next year.

keantoken,

Does next year mean 2011? I would strongly encourage you to get more education? There is no question that you are a very intellligent person and know quite a bit about electronics, but you will have a hard time getting a "good" job without more education. If you don't have the money to pursue a bachlors degree, you should do everything you can to get an associate degree.

Maybe other members of the group would be willing to help fund your education. What do you think?

I plan on getting more education, but I need a job as well. Personally I think I should know more than I already do, but I don't have the time to learn (mathematical details, phase relationships).

OS, I've thought about this as well. I'm good with linear designs, but I haven't spent much time with switching and oscillators. Have you seen the wind generator that works much like an aeolian harp?

The members that are interested are in a gather of parts and build of the current schematic. After some construction and testing of the that schematic there will be discussion and hashing out of the differences to the point of submitting a Group buy PCB for all to enjoy. At least that is what is suppose to be happening. Time will tell all.

I think shortly there will be some reports and unbiased evaluations of another similar amp. Over time there might be some differences but, I suspect there will be about three flavors. Each one incorporating improvements and tailored more or less for different builders/listeners taste and pocket book. Hopefully there will be a way to minimize the number of different topologies PCB wise, to maximize the resultant reduction in cost of the board in quantity by volume buys.

IMO an emphasis on building a universal Power supply for all topologies and either or both a Lateral or Bipolar OPS would be in order. With a drop in flavor of front end. The power supply would enhance what ever flavor anyone would build. Again my opinion.

A modular plug in (for the front end) to made based on a SMD or other combination topology would be good, however for some with less than perfect eyesight and older age this would be prohibitive. 😀

The number and type of OUTPUT devices could be addressed with a break off type OPS.

Power supply for the OPS could be SMPS or conventional. What ever....

Have and keep the faith, this is and will HAPPEN, or what is the alternative?🙄😛

What amps are those ? someone a stealin' my amps ?? 😀😀

Could it be this one ? (below) Hot off the press !! 😎
