@meanie,
check post 421....
if you are lucky!! otherwise you may have to wait a bit , as there is not so much interrest from people after 2 group buy in a short period !

The Toshiba's in the LTP are the primary voltage concern. They're driven slightly over spec even with 23V rails; more so with 26V rails.
On the other hand, Nelson has found them to be conservatively spec'ed. See the F5 Turbo docs for more info.

Hi,
i never been disappointed with this one:
TTSA0300 - Transformer AUDIO TSA300VA - voltage to 50V - Shop Toroidy.pl
TTSA0500 - Transformer AUDIO TSA500VA - voltage to 50 V - Shop Toroidy.pl
not sure yet what i will order :
500va 2x18v
or
300va 2x18v
or
2x300va 18v
i will go for a single box , so i have to check space available for a single or 2 transformers.
what do you recommand guys , single or dual ??

I built mine with a single TTSA0500. I did use a de-coupled PSU board, though. (Single C followed by separate RC for each channel.)
Would you guys think that 2x 160VA (18VAC) would be undersized for the DIY J2? From my simple calculations, it looks to be OK.
I'm trying to use transformers I already have, so my options are 2x 160VA/18VAC or 2x 200VA/25VA for a dual mono build, the latter being a little much from what I've read.

I am going with 2x 200VA (18) for mine, figuring a single 300VA is fine in my F6. I would think 2x 160VA would be good too. I have noticed a little inflation over time in VA ratings, occasionally a little readjustment is in order 🙂

H,
pcbs are landed, tomorrow I will start packaging and contact for last paying.
@atom622,
still interested, then wrote me a PM?!

Need a help guys when I uploaded Jeff's gerber files the latest one on pcbway I got an error after there review to choose which are the correct files. I took the gerber files from this thread @ post# 205 - GB "long and skinny" FirstWatt J2 clone PCBs
@carsten.witt, which gerber files did you order and have you also got similar error

It looks like you need to upload it to pcbway as two separate boards (left and right). I think it's wondering why there's 2 of everything....

Thanks Jeff, so its a 4 layer board and may be that is the reason PCBWay shows me up as only 2 layers. But JLpcb site shows correctly as 4 layers.
No, it's two separate 2-layer boards. Front and back copper only.
(The silkscreen and soldermask layers aren't usually included when someone describes how many layers a board is. However, including those there are 6.)

So if I have 2 make this as 2 separate files, which of them do I need to segregate. From the image that I posted from the pcbway site above
there are 16 files and which among them should they consider for printing.
Thanks

You see in the left layer window ... layer starts with
J2left and J2right ... put them in separate files and then upload to pcbs fabric.
Edit: i will share you via PM the both files for fabric in a few minutes.
