Good to hear, that you consider them as good
They were even better with a part layer printed - seems that it shouln't be too easy for us!
Also good to notice that slowly the caps gb is starting. Seems that the volume exceeds 50 meanwhile, which is the first step to cheaper chaps. I'm waiting for more 😀
Cheers Ernst

WIKI
Hi there,
I consider a wiki as a good option to figure out volumes. Could someone establish a wiki here. I'm too stupid for this or I do not have enough patience.
Thanks Ernst

Anybody in USA receive theirs yet? Is homeland security still trying to figure out what they are?
Received mine today. Thanks. However, can't comment on them because I'm not allowed to open them until Christmas. At least I got what I wanted this year!
I got my boards today, too! Hopefully I'll have some time during the holiday to put some more work into sourcing parts.
Merry Christmas!

Ted, we may live close enough together for group buy of parts. Couldn't email you through board.
@ pooge:
Sorry, I realized the email address in my profile was outdated. That's been updated now, and I sent you a message.

what's the point in updating your Email address if you have it switched off.

I am also interested in this amp, but really don't want to source all the hard-to-get somponents.
I am willing to pay a big premium for a component kit for this amp. Any takers?

PCB's
Good morning to all they still want to build Mihais amp.
Since one guy didn't come back to me I still have just 1 pair available.
I got some PN and some requests here for more pcbs.
If there were enough interest, I'd order a second batch.
I mixed up all the emails and PN, that I got so far.
So, you are still interested in pcbs, please send me a PN again, even if you contacted me earlier!!!
Nobody there to create a wiki?
Regarding the Caps: Interested people are:
Keith: for 1 pair amps and psus (8x10000µF+8x2200µF+8x1000µF)
DEBE: for 2 pairs: 16x+16x+16x
Matej: for 1 pair: 8x+8x+8x
Myself: for 2 pairs: 16x+16x+16x
total: 48x+48x+48x
If nobody joined, I'd order 50 each in January.
Regarding transformer for frontend psu:
So far I have no idea for a cheap one. Custom made I found on askjanfirst.de
40 VA; 4x36V ~ 70 Euro (incl VAT)
Volumeeffects on prices start by 11 transformers :-(
Other idea was to use 4 small 18V 10VA trafos instead. Would be cheaper.
Some ideas ideas would be appreciated.
Happy building to all the others!
During Christmas time I'll have limited email access. I'll be back short before 2008 ends.
Have a good time.

Thanks Mihai for your work
