GB for ES9038PRODAC-Core

My FIFO II is always 32bit/64fs. But MC FIFO will be any format pass through. That means if input is 16bit/32fs, the output will be the same16/32 too.

ES9038 still can not take 16bit/32fs?

Ian

As in the 9018, the ES9038 also has the 16 bit in a 64fs frame. I2S is treated the same as LJ PCM. I think 32fs is dead. I found it only in old CD drives and the Raspby if playing native 44,1 files. Every USB interface or DSP Interface supports 64fs. I think we will not find 16b/32fs in a multichannel application.
For a Raspberry - I2S player, your FIFOII fits perfect, if the fs32 is converted to fs64.

Thanks Spiri for your effort and your nice project.

I'm looking forward to use your multi-channel DAC with my MC FIFO.

Good lock

Has your new multichannel FIFO the possibility for four Spdif/AES encoder as input. That would be an application for a FIFO. Typically, the Spdif is synchronous from one source. The channel to channel delay should be small. Is this possible.

@Spiri

Just hope my McDualXO has no problem interfacing with your ES9038PRODAC.
