It supports the basic CCS'ed JFET unity gain block with dedicated custom shunt supplies and deletes the two signal capacitors. Adds output delay, and in the case of the Mez it is a fully fledged 6 relay input buffer preamp on a board. The results are subjectively different enough to an original B1.

basic question here, I'm sure theres a wiki or similar, but i haven't found it - I know what a Pass B1 is, how does the Mesmerize and Hypnotize (hotrod?) relate to it ?

Many thanks
fs

The two versions take Nelsons excellent design and use a +- power supply to achieve a direct coupled(no capacitors in the signal path) buffer which IMHO takes the B1 to another level performance wise. You need to make sure that your power amp is capacitor coupled though.
The differance :- Hypnotize has single in/out and souped up p/s.
Mezmerize has 6 inputs and simpler p/s.
Do a search and read all about them.

More succintly put than mine Salas

I finished one of the black boards yesterday, and after some troubleshooting it works fine.
And it exceeds all expectations....I have a tweaked out Transcendent tube preamp, the DCB1 smokes it in most areas.
And of course the itch to hotrod the thing occured instantly, so I jumped on the train last minute and just payed for another mezmerize board.

And I want to thank everybody for all the work and enthusiasm, of course especially Teabag and Salas, not to forget a certain Mr Pass...

If you do not make money as a bankster, and you do not have the knowledge, but want to listen to good music, these GB are a real blessing for the handicapped.
Just popping in the parts, have little prayer, switch on-and smoke or sound!
I love it...

again, thanks to everybody involved here.
