GB for DC coupled B1 buffer with shunt PSUs

On the latest 'published' BOM for the Blue (1.3 is the latest I see), there appears to be a slight omission.

The 100nF cap (decoupling the 7812) doesn't appear.

And, the two 1 ohm resistors in the shunt-reg portion (near the output terminal block) are missing too... possibly due to change from Hypnotize value of 10 ohm.

I'm preparing an order for some parts and I cross checked the schematic / jpgs and /bom.

The Blue has an orthodox Jfet connection in both the voltage ref ccs since it gets the voicing I liked with hot rod. The +/- Vout will tie closer in the Blue. The audio fets will averagely need to be better matched than in the previous so to hit same offset range, not that it really matters, anyway. The 1R is there just to check the current with a DVM, where in the black pcbs the 10R played that and another subtle transient damping role. To cut a long story short, use what each board says if you want to keep it as intended. :Pawprint:

Another question (before I submit my parts orders)...

I already have several 'flavors' of 7812 on-hand. Is the part # called out in korben69's BOM superior to other 7812s???

I have both National Semi LM7812CT and Fairchild Semi MC7812ECT on-hand.

I don't wish to start a huge regulator comparison... just wondering what's best in this application.

Thanks,
