Boards.
Got mine this morning as well. Look superb.
One small thing, they had almost ripped through the bottom
of the bag, maybee some packaging to stop the corners of the
boards cuutting through the bag in future ?

help
I have just ordered 2 Hypnotize boards, and wondered if there was an up to date BOM with suggestions and build options eg. Hot rod options ect.
looked through the various threads, but could only see compiled lists for earlier versions and the Mesmerise.
cheers

The hypnotize blue versions can use much of the same parts in original BOM.
The hot rod option would involve change the 2 or 3x 68R to something down to 10R 5 watts (by one or parrallel resistors). Also LED bypass (100uf) can be a small but tall form factor (FKP) ~ .1-.22uf. The hot rod resistor takes the most looking into , small diameter leads on the resistors will make them fit better. 3 2W Panasonic resistors would fit.

Same here! Thanks, Teabag.
If european colleagues are willing to share their sources for B1 parts, I'm more than willing to investigate them. So far I've went through mouser, farnell, bonzaimusic, conrad.de and ebay, looking for best shipping/quality combinations. This left me with learning all the list by heart... but shipping is always 4/5 of the parts price. Gives me feeling of living in a distant planet.

I bought parts at:If european colleagues are willing to share their sources for B1 parts.
-http://www.hifituning24.de, mostly for special caps, 2SK170, IRFP... etc
-http://www.hificollective.co.uk, mostly for special resistors
-RS for most semiconductors and other stuff, but Mouser is even better and free above 75€.
-Teabag for the PCBs 🙂
I attached my BOM with partnrs as well, hope this helps. Most quantities are wrong as I planned to build 2 pcs, and I needed some parts for other projects as well. Furthermore I wanted to compare the sound of resistors but I didn't do it yet as I prefer listening to the thing. And I'm still working on my Arduino-Sylonex preamp where the DCB1 is used as a buffer.
I will build my nr2 on the Blue version that arrived yesterday. Thanks Teabag.

Oenbock,
this is a great post. I am going to rob the spreadsheet and put into the Hot-Rod DCB1 blog.
As a pure commentary, I did not like Kiwame resistors in the signal path. Worst I have tried, but may play differently elsewhere.
