I used mills resisters in mine kept the pots just cleaned them out,solen caps they are available in the correct values also removed the fuses no need for this with modern amps.
By the way the 2 series caps in the mid can be replaced with one 34uF solen.
I also removed the printed circuit board and hard wired it and moved the inductors further apart they are a bit close together so will interact.

You will probably find that the rack in front of the speakers will cause diffraction effects, reducing ability to throw an image/soundstage

Quite right Dave. It was a temporary arrangement. Both sets of speakers were subjected to the same conditions. Not ideal but sufficient for the comparison. Rack gone now.
