But are they out of focus, but in a subjectively better way?
Not that I can tell, but wouldn't that require the decoding and reencoding of the JPEG?
Next up my 20W ebay T-amp (looking for that faster bass).

Come on, we definitely know subjectively that it works for mp3,
spdif, USB, even without changing a single bit!
JPEG is much easier than that, it does not even need advanced hearing!

But if you make the base "Faster" then won't the pitch change?
I do because if you can feel it, hear it or taste it you can measure it.
If you measure no difference it is likely expectation bias.
There are lots and lots of biases. And there are mental processes that involve multiple bias effects. In many cases, expectation bias is probably not really the most correct or useful answer.
One thing that seems to be common with sighted listening is a type of focusing illusion. When listening to a particular sighted version of something, one focuses on listening to a particular aspect of the music, and so on. And what is focus on seems important simply because it is in focus.
What is the focusing illusion?
Therefore, each variation does sound different because what is being listened to is different in the sense of different listening focus.
In addition, a focusing illusion would be expected to be experimentally distinguishable from expectation bias. Why does it matter to call out a difference? Because if one understands that directed or focused listening is potentially involved, it is possible to test the proposition by intentionally changing focus to some other aspect of the sound to see if listening differently makes the music, system, or whatever the focus is, sound different. One can check to see if sighted listening differences can be accounted for by focusing based on sight (correlated with looking).

Thanks to the snake oil salesmen who have hijacked this thread, it now has NO information, is boring and a complete waste of time. Some one let me know when they leave and it's back on topic.

Their words not mine, they did slip in a "more impactful" too which seems to be the current word virus everywhere.

Well, Max/Dan reckons he has bit identical audio files that sound different....
Well, some of what was said regarding automotive Was 'extract of snake'.While I agree that threadjacking a thread on snake oil products for audio to talk about autos is a bit odd. I'll make a new thread focusing on cars then hey?
As long as your thread is about auto 'extract of snake' and as some tuning techniques are 'acoustic', audiophile stuff could be included😉
New rule: Anything goes in The Lounge except politics and religion. But threadjacking is frowned upon.
There is a threadjacking thread so...... 'av at it lad!

Actually they have helped, I now know Not to
purchase any products that they have a hand in.
Additionally I don't even bother reading their post
in other threads so it saves me time there as well.
If I don't feel anything change
Have you taken measurements before and after?

That depends on the transparency .....
Blind testing would be useless.....
