These could be a nice a nice addition to Russ Abbott's next comic, they would need a huge price tag to convince his regular customers though!
I would love to comment, but until I improve the Audiophile credentials of my system anything I say has absolutely no weight or substance, further proof to myself how narrow minded and shallow some audiophiles can be.
You could call them 'stereo directivity enhancers', worried you cant hear the difference between you plug sockets, buy our new stereo directivity enhancers and add another 1000dB to your dynamic range. Be the envy at your local audiophile club as you clearly distinguish the difference between electricity suppliers at your local audiophile club. My wife, not an audiophile even noticed the change from the kitchen "2000 pounds for blocks of wood, I can just about handle" she screeched, "but 6 trillion dollars for stereo directivity enhancers!!!"
Can a BP, I don't know but with these enhancers you'll hear a wasp fart. Further reduce your listening enjoyment by being able to listen to every crystal boundary in your cables, detect different op amps by their 1f noise, here the end of the universe design and build a super computer just by listening, all this and more can be yours, just drop of a fat cheque at your local audio store and a pair will be delivered direct to you door. Develop0ed by the very small (almost a donkey) company.......
🙂

My missis got a set of these (on a free trial basis) and she could hear the instant improvement when I fitted a new hifi tuning fuse to our bedroom radio alarm clock. And she was standing in the kitchen - in her sisters house on the other side of the country.

That will teach me for buying such cheap rubbish eh 🙄

“Coherence Technology neutralises noise inherent in circuits... noise that is caused by discrepancies of time and amplitude in the ground plane. By increasing the underlying coherence of the ground plane, the technology neutralises this noise. When we neutralise this inaudible noise there are improvements in the performance qualities of the audio signals. And there is also an improvement in the listener’s ability to appreciate and gain greater entertainment value out of the sound reproduction.”
Great, neutralising non audible noise improves the sound quality, and I do mean improve...
The effect of the Clarity-16 is like that of the Clarity-4 and 8, only more so. Our listening tests showed that they allowed a greater amount of detail which made recordings more ‘alive’; live recordings, particularly, took on a greater level of realism, as if the performers were just in front of us. Bass was cleaner and had more definition and rhythms and riffs became easier to follow; midrange was clearer and individual voices easier to pick out and identify, and the treble was smoother and sweeter.
I would have thought by now that an Audiophile with a fully tweaked $50,000+ system should be able to hear the sound engineers heartbeat by now...
My lowly system by comparison sounds like tinnitus with a veil of glugging porridge in the background, I can only hope and dream of Audio nirvana.
You have to give it to him, preferably with both barrels!
I have a bridge in London for sale and a great deal going on a tower in Paris for anyone who has already achieved audio nirvana and has run out of mains sockets.

It's a tempting offer, but if I use French electricity for my sound system will I need to add an extra filter to remove the garlic?
That raises a thought: most UK electricity is actually already French or German - could that be why we need all these extra gizmos to achieve audio perfection? Before too long we will have Chinese electricity mixed in too - will we find that Chinese volts are like Chinese watts? Will Chinese electrons come with a CE mark attached?

I have him tied up and gagged in the cellar, just a little tweak before I'll go down for a double-blind sound check.
What I was thinking off was every revue of every dodgy accessory usually has the comment "it was like lifting a veil" "the changes were not subtle, even my wife (not an audiophile) came in from the kitchen etc. etc."

Apparently the law of diminishing returns does not apply. Each new improvement produces the same phenomenal change even though the system is already perfect.

Doh! you just ruined my new ploy to make money out of rich fools!
Nobody will buy my new range of upgrade ears now that you have exposed the blindingly obvious for all to see 😱

I get my electricity from Scottish & Southern Energy and my last audiophile tweak was a step too far and made my system just too revealing: When I critically listen I can clearly hear that their electricity gives every singing voice a slight scottish or southern accent.
Which, as you can imagine, is quite annoying when I play Black Sabbath!
all the sarcasm and pithy remarks pooled together in one spot.
Hmm... I think you need to get out more. 🙂
Maybe not exactly snake oil but a good example why you should always take Stereophile's reviews with a BIG grain of salt.
GoldenEar Technology Aon 2 loudspeaker | Stereophile.com
The subjective reviewer Robert J Reina had this to say in summary :
"GoldenEar Technology has produced a stunning achievement in the Aon 2, with strengths that are unusual for a bookshelf speaker of this size and price. And I continue to be floored by how GoldenEar's ingenious designers have been able to marry the best of ribbon and dynamic driver designs in a coherent and cost-effective package. I look forward to hearing more from this creative company."
Now this is a $799.98/pair speaker so not exactly expensive but look at what John Atkinson measured for the frequency response. Pretty horrid wouldn't you say? Of course Mr Atkinson had this to say about it:
"I was a little concerned by the presence of that upper-midrange peak, but the Aon 2 otherwise measures well for its price, as I have come to expect from GoldenEar's Sandy Gross"
Uhhhh measures well? I suppose we all have our own opinions about what "measures well" means 😉

But... but... we KNOW that measurements don't tell how it sounds, don't we ?? 😉
