See description above. Hopefully the pics are now visible.
Those look great, really interesting with those curves. I'll have to look into that bender board. Nice work!

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share with you all my first attempt at DIY speakers. I spent some time in these forums learning about speaker building and finally got underway.
The volume is a similar size to the minionken (slightly different volume and vent sizes for the CSS FR125SR drivers) but i was after a set of floorstanding speakers so i improvised.
Coming from using an old set of crappy Sony satellite speakers and sub these sound pretty amazing, but I guess anything sounds better than the old ones, plus i'm probably pretty bias... 😀

Nice. I like the picture from the back... it is just screaming out "fill me with a couple helper woofers" 😀

Haha, yeah, i was considering adding a woofer, although the thought of designing and building a crossover terrifies me. My only experience in electronics dates back to year 8 highschool classes making useless flashing LED's and the like.
PLLXO....limited but easy. Or just a set of plate amps (given the LF your mains have, even just 1 for both speakers)
dave
Hmmm, interesting. I think even I could manage that...
I've just found the 'Tysen' thread - i'm assuming this is the sort of thing you're suggesting. If i ever get around to it i may have some questions for you.

Castle Microtower build, CSS kit. White oak base, red oak veneer with red mahogany stain. Magnets behind the veneer, but haven't made the grills yet. Was thinking of a pyramidal or slanted top grill to avoid people wanting to set things on top of them.
NIce! How do they sound?
Another Planet10 design, MK70mt, el70 driver in a western cedar enclosure.
Lovely!

MK70mt
MK70wT, Mar-Kel70mT (medium Trapezoid). Actually 1st prototype, the desugn has since been made a bit wider and a bit shorter.
Also our 1st test of Western Red Cedar as a box material,
