I bought a cheap docking station from ebay (6$), took it apart and got one of those adapters for the universal dock. If you get another i-device you can swith the universal dock adapter. I added a usb powersupply and hooked it up with the docking station. The audio-out goes into the amplifier

Only 3 words: Great-Great-Great!!! I will probably use this design as I am in the process of designing a speaker for my diy electronic drums. How would you describe the fidelity of your speakers?

I think your girlfriend's opinion suits me fine for what I have in mind... Thanks a lot my friend!
I came up with an idea: Why not add two small side firing full range drivers that are out of phase with the TBs! That should give you some "stereo separation"!
