OK, I couldn't resist. At 1/10th the price of a Bel Canto eOne S300 how could I.
Exactly why I am buying mine. I had a S300 that I just sold a few months ago - just wanted it to see what it had inside. Sold it for what I bought it for. Sounded nice. Preferred the Hypex UCD400 over the S300 (ASC200), but can't beat the deal.
Still can't understand why they claimed 300 wpc at 4 ohms tho.

Marketing.

B&O claims 290W (10% THD+N / 4 Ohm, 230V AC).
With an 8R load it should give about the same performance as a bridged Tripath TA2022 on +/-23.5v supplies.
into 4 ohms
Hi
I havent yet seen it in the PDFs -
How many watts (with sensible distortion) into 8 ohms?
Thanks

Hi YFW
Curious – how did you source these?
Do those who buy more than 2 pieces, get any saving on the mail?

Re: into 4 ohms
From the data sheet....
Output power @ 0.2%THD+N (RL = 8 Ohm) = 100W

Hi
I see www.icepower.bang-olufsen.com/en/solutions/speaker/ASC_SERIES they have no EMI shields – how are they for freedom from RF, noise, etc?
Thanks

Has anybody found a place where the connectors can be bought? Locally, I have access to Farnell & RS Components, but a search on those comes out empty.

I know digi-key isn't local for you, but they carry the connector housing EHR-8.

Thanks for the feedback, tA1 🙂
I have been looking at JST's webpage and datasheets.
I wonder, though. Do you order one (8-pin) receptacle, and 8 loose pins for crimping, or are they included?
I have even contacted JST about this, with a reply that didn't really enlighten me.
