Been reading this forum for quite a while, gathering info, experiance etc. Now I'm ready to build my first DIY projector. I have two very good lenses (each with 6 lenses ) with 220 mm FL. Preliminary tests show great focus abilities along whole LCD. I guess an 220mm Fresnel will match this lens perfectly.
-But, if my 220mm Fresnel is an inch or two in front of LCD (for Fresnel tilting), I will have a missmatched setup - focus points of triplet and fresnel will not mach. What is your advice ???
-Which Fresnel is better to use on the oposit side of LCD (between light source & LCD), 330mm or 220mm ?
-One more thing: I know that it's best that the field Fresnel and the triplet match up in regard to focal length right? But can you go with a mismatched set; which is it? A longer focus Fresnel or a longer focus triplet? What are the disadvantages of that setup ?
