But he was smart enough to realise that his boundary layer engines could be incorporated into conventional petrol engines as they can be driven by pulsed hot gas without destruction due to having no blades and only 1 moveing part. as oposed to a piston/crank/camshaft and gearbox friction losses in conventional engines.

I have no clue what a boundary layer engine is; but the above description reminds me of a "PulseJet".

It would figure...
Erm, it is more commonly knows as the tesla turbine, it can be either a motor or a pump by swapping the source of the driving mass (hot gas or liquid) also it can turn in reverse by changeing the direction of flow towards the exits... all with no mechanical changes... just by changeing the steam.

It is significantly diffirent from modern day turbines that would die if fed wet steam.. they instead work on high volume low presuare "dry" steam.

And despite input presures of even 700psi the exaust gas comes out at only 2 atmospheres and can even be used in a second stage turbine. The only friction source is the two bearings on either end of the turbine.

It uses the viscosity effect. The same force that makes oil drip slowly from an overturned can rather than just drop to the floor, hooking the turbine discs by the boundary layer, the efficiencies achieved is something like 95%.

I freely admit my ignorance on many things, but I also have a good handle on the bounds of my ignorance - which is not true of all who comment.

On another kooky note which illustrates that a scientific outlook and the acceptance of the unusual can co-exist.
I personally know an astronomer who is working on the cutting edge of multiple lense array optical telescopes.
He also believes firmly in the existance of aliens which are visiting the earth. I personally don't believe him, but he claims to have proof and that the belief is quite widespread in the academic circles he travels in. He has also built and tested a "cloud buster" based on Reichs work in order to verify Reichs claims about its ability to attract UFO's. Who am I to call him a kook.

Where are you getting all your Whacked out ideas about Tesla??

What garbage..

Everybody knows that once he made the matter duplicator and the westinghouse guys burned down his lab, he retired and moved on.

Sheesh, don't you guys ever watch movies???? THAT's where the real info is found..not some textbook...

Cheers, John

Who am I to call him a kook.

Just because he works in science - doesn't mean he can't have kooky ideas. See james randi and his comments on scientists who proclaim uri geller to be the real item ...as in genuine telekinetic spoonbender.

And reich - you mean orgon reich (german pun)? aka wilhelm the second reich? (another pun) - the third he left...

BTW - back to russel - why even engage in speculation when there is not a shred of evidence - as in the cable debates: anecdotal don't count.

Shoog,

I too know my limits, and I am always trying to expand said limits - one of the small pleasures of DIY. I don't do this by wasting time and energy chasing rainbows (or aliens) or blaming conspiracies for suppressing these wacky BS. In all human endeavours, there are some who will be more successful than others; this could be due to ability or circumstances, but probably both. This guy may be good at optical arrays, but that should not disqualify him from being a wacky BS devotee. I think that wacky BS is so desperate for affirmation, that all are welcome - including those with real skills. Anecdotes about someone who knew someone... is not evidence of anything - other than the limited logic of the one who proposes the anecdote as evidence. That is the problem with wacky BS; believers selectively seek tidbits of conjecture or twist facts to support their wacky BS and blame conspiracies for anything that refutes the wacky BS. The scientific process requires that all evidence be open for examination and refutation by peers.

All true and without doubt.
Unfortunately your set of beliefs preclude you from accepting things beyond what is in your accepted definition of reality - just as mine stops me from not considering things as possible (nothing more). I make few claims to believe in anything that hasn't been absolutely proven, but I am willing to consider them possible. I make no claims for belief in anything out of the ordinary which a careful reading of my posts will show. I do ask people to consider and investigate things that seem impossible at face value - nothing more.
Many things seem impossible and yet they are later found to be true. I site KBK example of the maps , which I have also read about. They seem impossible with our accepted definition of history. yet they exist, plain and simple without doubt.
Draw your limits where you will, but don't expect me and others to accept them.

I'll ignore that. 😉

Yours for $35

Yikes! 😱 I don't think I want to beam 100s of watts of microwave energy around my house! Poof! there goes the cat.... Zap, there go my knees...

No power specs given on these crazy things. I like that it has a ground pin. Wireless grounding?

EDIT: Add one to your shopping cart. 😀

two years ago there was an investigation - shown on pbs, which I trust more than so called "alternative" historical or archeological sites.

Similar sources that claim the existence of human footprints >200 million years old, the existence of a tribe of intergalactic travelers called anunaki, the existence of anything from Mu to Atlantis etc.
I strongly advise you to read - in your case - the strictly scientific Mr. Strieber and Daeniken a nd the like.

Re. Reis' map
Just a few minutes and some real analysis can be found and not some woowoo hype.
Stick with daeniken - highly recommended - he knew it all.

PS - actually it wasn't that the map was a forgery - one can make mistakes after a few years - the claims as to the antiquity were bogus.

At best you make leaps which are inappropriate.

not judging by your recommeded links. They are on the same level as my recommendation to you to stick with daeniken. He is about as accurate and trustworthy.
Science most of the time isn't very sexy and open to a fast read - as most of those "alternate" sites are. It is a slow slog at best of times, with years w/o results... I've worked in the field, and know.
That why a lot of folks fall for the easily understandable and hyped alternate sites. Which contain some kernel of truth among a fluffy exterior - which makes it so sexy - the fluff I mean...

If you could have shown Mr. Tesla an artists rendering of this picture and asked him what he thought; he would have said only a crazy fool would build such an impossible machine.

Only a crazy fool would build such a machine. If not, there would be more than one.

Actually that's a heck of a hunk of metal. We get to see the little brother (the 124) from time to time at YVR. Impressive craft.

Oops, what do you know, I'm off topic. 😉

We all tend to self select the source material we use to fit our own prejudices.

My prejudice is against baseless assumptions. And reading the article complete and especially the Lunde articles, there are some very convincing arguments - corresponding to other links - that explain some of the "startling" evidence, which do not need a hypothetical race of ancient mariners but some very adventurous portugese sailors.

But again - those explenations are rather humdrum, and do not fit the bill of exciting new "alternative" explanations to history.

It is for me at least, easier to reconcile a supposed drawing of the antaric coast with that of the actual seen and in reality depicted australian coast, especially due to the fact that 1. Antartic is very cold, and warm air comes only from the heater in your nissen hut, and 2. hasn't been Ice free for several millions of years. Which, had this drawing been actually of antartica, would have required not just an ancient race of mariners but leftover pieces of info from again a hypothetical alien visitation in the mid tertiary.

I just find it interesting that at the age of 18 I managed to figure out there is one single 'master' universe or 'linchpin' and 10 dimensions or...10 reflections.

Nowadays, I find out that the quantum guys feel there are '10' different dimensions. Kinda amused me to hear that.

I know these things are true.

So let's put this thread in to another gear. In maybe a few dimensions at at time.

I know that interdimensional travel is real.

I know that the situation surrounding the monatomics is likely to turn out to be true.

I know that antigravity works.

I know that over unity works.

I know that FTL in motion, or in energy transmission, or information transmission is true and real.

I know there are other beings or 'intelligent energy forms' out there that we both recognise and do not recognise.

I know that travel to the past and travel to an alternate future is possible. Travel to that future establishes the path for the individual-between the two, which becomes permanent, once the act is completed. It becomes the future for that individual. Cemented. Be careful what you ask for. Remote viewing of the individual situation (seeing futures) is possible, wthout physical placement.

As for parallel dimensional hopping, I'm not so clear on that one.

As for the 'Philadelphia experiment' as reported by "Carlos Allende", from my own personal understandings, this leads me to believe, via information of fact based PERSONAL episodes, that such is 100% possible, and therfore from that, it is possible to say that the effects reported by Carlos Allende, did in fact - take place. Very few, if any, other alternatives are possible, at all. When travelling in OBE's and similar situations, identical interdimensional effects take place. 100% so. Identical effects as to what happens when consuming the shaman plant 'Salvia Divinorum'.

As for my story about my bro, who spoke of the gentleman from the company in the Ottawa Valley, he has zero reason to lie, heck he doesn't even watch TV, and he has done no such thing ever before in his past. Not the kind to tell tales. Ever.

As for the rest, I am a member of the parapsychology group of mensa, and from a bloodline that is rife with psychics, and I am the most powerful in my family, that I am aware of.

I know the above from not just investigations in science, but from repeated, 1000's of times - personal experience-on the other side of that veil. The thing I spoke of getting lambasted for (being forced to laugh at Caligula's jokes-the representation of literal mechanistic human society), by psychically illiterate 'ground pounders' - literal blind bulls in china shops, when it comes to those with this particular gift (or curse-I personally see it as a set of skills and eyes that most don't have or enjoy).

Let me put it this way, in a pre-emptive moment with no rancor intended 🙂 : If you think I just told you that I am insane (in your book) then, Your opinion does not hold as much weight as it might with me. You are basically lost..without eyes to see. To see all that heavenly glory. All those statues in Egypt, almost the entire Far East, (over half the world's population) entire religions and worlds - blind to them all. All those worlds, and you miss them all. I feel sad for you. Very sad. You miss the entire point of life itself. It may be more correct to say I will always have respect for you, but if you cannot see, then you are more like a crazyman, unknowingly walking around and waving a hair trigger shotgun about. One you can't even see. Literally...dangerous. Animalistic.

If you can consider what I said, with some modicum of sanity within the idea of assessment, then I maintain respect for you, and continue to enjoy your company.

No religion here, none whatsoever. Only knowlege of different areas of existence. Some that most are not familiar with.

This is the line drawn in the sand, that I did not speak of earlier.

What the heck, keep the thread interesting, I says. Notch it up another gear. Why not. 🙂

Science and religion are once again converging..converging on the same spot. I can see it coming. Soon. Messy it will be, as such things are. But converge they will. Again.

Oddly, there are large numbers of us, out there, these days. And more and more are born each day. Indigo Children, the Astrologers call them. The new humans. Almost pouring out of the walls, so many are being born. Incredibly intelligent. And I am what is known as a precursor. For example, my brother was born, eyes wide open, staring right into my mothers eyes, with conciousness. Dead silent. Not a single cry. Concentrating. Perfectly focused eyes and stare. Bizzare. I remember the act of birth itself, and being in the womb.

And if you find you cannot understand this, more's the loss. For you. For you will be left behind. Bearing that, you should make the attempt. At the very least - to consider. This is not a casual statement. It comes after a lifetime of investigation.

To paraphrase KBK: "I have attained omnipresent-supergalactic-oneness."

And a follow up with a memorable quote from Edward Everett: "I should be glad if I could flatter myself that I came as near to the central idea of the occasion, in two hours, as you did in two minutes."
