Actually closer than you think, I'm in Mansfield😀 thanks for the invite, normally working during the week, you open weekends?
Sad thing is I'd have had these things up and running now and added a write up, oh well🙂
It is very easy I can make myself available at weekends

Hi,
Your web site is very well done but unfortunately not very consistant with the output power of the small NX200 module, it says 200W@4ohm but on the same page you see 225W@8ohm and the pdf file you see 150W@8 ohm, it it possible to get the actual output in 8 ohm/ch. I also did not see a wiring schematics, is it possible to get one.
Also, these amp are very tiny, I really like this but I'm wondering about the heatsink requirement since Cirrus18 said they were actually Class AB and not Class D.
How much would it cost to send 2 x NX200 to Canada.
It's too bad I missed your promotion for these free amps, I had never seen a manfacturer offering free amp + support over the web.
Cheers,
Eric

I have a very busy month ahead of me, but hope to lash up something to test the amp board shortly...
Hello Blair - I look forward to reading about your review.
Cheers!
Hi guys, got a chance to finally power the module up. Sorry I took so long to do this.
Modules:
* Won the module October 9, 2008.
* They never responded to ANY of my emails or communicated back to me at all.
* Module arrive March 10, 2009 (five months later)
* Module had bad solder joints - Photos: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1769814#post1769814
* PCB quality is good
* Over seven months later a couple of winners I know (udailey and danieljw) have yet to get their module or receive any sort of communication
Fixes:
* Touched up the bad soldering on the modules
Power Up:
* Used +/-40VDC and 2 X 15,000uF per rail.
* Modules run much hotter than any other Class-D amps I have used and I had to switch to a larger heatsink
* No drifting issues during testing on larger sink
Sound (subjective):
* Did a very nice job driving a 10" subwoofer at high power. I would have no issues using the module in this application.
* Did a decent job running speakers at low to medium power (sorry I don't have speakers that would take a lot of power). Sound was not offensive but not up to par of that from a no-frills LM3886 chipamp. Not as musical and involving. I would not use it my setup.
* Seems like a good economical choice where high power is required like pro audio use.
Suggestions:
* Make an effort to communicate
* Take more care in assembly - here is another poorly constructed module: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1744287#post1744287
* Keep your promises
Cheers

Hold on Keith,
Pocoyo won the module and has a right to get it - what he does with it is his business - there was no restrictions put on the winners about usage of the modules.
I'm not sure that these modules have been demonstrated to be superior to the Hypex modules - I think we have 1 review saying yes, 1 review saying marginal & 1 review giving it to Hypex.
Let's wait to see!

Personally, I think the attitude displayed by Keith Mallen is verging on the hysterical.
A request to "Class-D Design": please do the decent "sign of good faith" thing, and ensure that all 10 winners receive the module of their choice, without any further delay. Otherwise, your original "sign of good faith" intent, becomes just another "false claim".

We are entitled to defend ourselves if somebody makes false claims.
We will not be involved in it any more in any way or pass any more comments let product decide the issue
As a sign of good faith, we will supply 10 free modules to 10 individual winners for testing and revue, to people picked at random from replies we receive to our email address sales@class-d.com.
We will run this for 30 days starting 1st september the winners can choose their preferred module.
Winners will be publically posted on this thread on the 1st October, good luck!

Keith Mallen is a sock puppet of a terminated member. His posts may have been amusing if you were in on the joke, but also just add confusion to this thread, which is pretty confused already.
I also deleted posts that referrred to his posts because they were even MORE confusing!

IT would be nice if everyone promised a module got one, and there could be more discussion of the product from a sound point of view..For this reason off topic and pointless discussion will be deleted.

A bit late fore that 🙄
Maybe better delete the whole thread, due to missuse by the vendor, and forget the whole thing, its a joke
Apart from that I have learned to stay away from infected threads
But before I leave I will say that I knew from the very beginning not to take part in this commercial trick
I decided to stick to mr Holton, and his new beautiful design, the genuine thing, and pay the exstra small amount to mr Holton fore his artwork
I know a guy who tried both, and he had no doubt in choosing Holtons
He claimed that it was impossible to adjust bias on the UK module
Well, now Im at it, Class-D doesnt do themselves any favours when they show such fine pictures of their modules
A trained eye easily spots cold poor solder joints all over the boards
I wonder if it makes any sense to test and measure such poorly assembled boards
Just take a look at Holtons boards, and you should know whats going on here, who is copying who
With the things said in mind, I wonder why they wanted mr Holton in the first place
But they are obviously very skilled players, and played mr Holton
But nice to see mr Holton continue his important role in the kits world
HE would be missed
Bye, Im gone and wont be back
