You might also consider FE167... easy cabinets, no real need for a tweeter. Better midrange but not quite as efficient, or with as much low bass impact.

Hi Guys,
There seems to be 2 versions of FE207 & FE207E.
Do they sound the same or which is the better
speaker ?
Thanks

Current version is FE207e, part of a major line upgrade 4-5 years ago... there are older 207s (some without the 207 moniker) that probably go back 40 years.

is it recomended to use a BSC circuit with the HC box? If so, where can i find some info about designing it for that enclosure?

Depends on room, placement in your room, amps & cables.
A good place to start is with Martin King's article on the subject.

I thought as much, ive been reading through it thanks. i guess its best to see how they sound naked, and then start to do what i want to change the sound, add a tweeter if i need etc etc
Hi Planet,
As per your advice that the 167E would sound better,
would it be feasible to build a 2X 167e in the G Chang
cabinets ?
Thank you

Scott might say, "groan" - these enclosures are highly tailored to specific drivers, generally intending to adhere to the Single Driver approach. Just because there might be enough room on the front baffle to add extra or different drivers, won't ensure enhanced performance.
p.s. Did I forget to mention "combing"?
but then again, I could be all wet

Nice. Is this a la Isobarik configuration ?
no - each driver loads a separate horn

p.s. - sorry Horst, I didn't mean to step on your toes
Hello,
you didn´t read "about what" in the middle
http://www.hm-moreart.de/11.htm
membran movement cross setting
and bass horn mouth distance.
better look the IMP measurements
of the sub Fanfare,
both horn parallel,
long,
short horn
than you can get it:

Horst:
even if this was in concise English, it would probably be over my head - but thanks for the correction.
So the "divider" between the 2 drivers is the soft fibre-board material?

No groans today (I'm not feeling well enough to even do that), but yes, agreed on all counts. Assuming it was retuned, you could run two drivers on the front baffle & roll one off above its mass-corner, but that's about it -aside from Calhoun none were designed for a semi-omni polar response so sticking a driver elsewhere isn't going to work too well.
hm said:Hallo,
here a double study with two frontdriver,
I assume you're rolling one off to avoid output lobing?
