Cabs like this are sold ready-made (so very cheap) in China's Taobao stores, and generally referred to as "labyrinth". Bass is definitely enhanced (low and strong). I like to mod them by inserting slanted dividers to lengthen and taper the "transmission line". There are a couple of threads documenting my "TLonken" efforts.Out of curiosity, does anyone know what sort of design this cabinet is based on?
I came across it in the search for something that would fit. It's less than 5 liters so probably not suitable but I'm not sure what the idea behind the physics is here?

If compactness is paramount and the driver has low Qts (powerful magnet), the classic folded highly-tapered transmission line has the best bass clarity/depth/dynamics.

Hmm, T/S max flat using HR's slightly modded specs and assuming OEM specs are quite close:Not sure this would be the best use of these drivers...
Vented net volume (Vb) (L) = 20*5.48*0.59^3.3 = 19.2 L
Vented box tuning (Fb) (Hz) = 0.42*79.07*0.59^-0.96 = 55.1 Hz
F3 (Hz) = 79.07*0.28*0.59^-1.4 = 46.3 Hz, obviously only for very low power, nearfield apps, so presume of no use to you..........
Pioneer's classic BR = 5.48/1.44 = 3.8 L tuned to actual Fs makes for a mildly under-damped pronounced mid-bass, lower mids, i.e. typical classic party speaker, 5 W/1.0 mm, damp to 'taste'.........
Probably a decent compromise = the mean of the two = 8.54 L, 66 Hz Fb, wider BW classic variant, so extra LF = only 1.0 W/1.0 mm
All of course ideally need a hi-pass...........
Comparison of classic, averaged..........
Group delay ('ringing') comparison...........

Perhaps somewhere in Dave’s archived plan sets? I’m thinking it was well over a decade ago that I built the one pair with removable suprabaffle that allowed for swapping of drivers. The Aiko design file isn't loading on the p10hifi site, does anyone have the PDF of the drawings? Size is certainly a concern but it's worth considering all options.....
For approximate reference to size - but not exactly the same internal topography - take a look at the Woden Vampyr.
https://www.wodendesign.com/Vampyr-V.html.
IINM, I built a pair of those as well, but for the newer FF 105WK. Dave will, of course be monitoring this thread and I’m happy to be corrected on any errata.
Understanding your intended use case will most certainly shorten the timeframe of your analysis.
Blink of an eye for some of us. I remember those speakers had impressive bandwidth for such a small driver.15 yrs, my how fly times.
