In my experience most of the "lead resistance" is contact resistance, which can be subject to fluctuation, especially with older meters as oxidation and grime builds up, and the gold plating wears out.
Auto. The only one it has for resistance unless I push a button to select a particular range. It would be the 600ohm one.Is that meter auto ranging ? on witch scale was the meter set ??
This meter - I didn't use low Z

HP->Agilent->now Keysight. 😉 At the time I bought it I suspect they were trying to give Fluke a run for their money at the medium end. It's not a spectacularly accurate meter but fine for me.

I worked in electronics for rather a long time and generally people would only use Fluke but very high end.
I have this one. Works fine.
